Tom’s  board that give a 3D affect. The boards (only one of which is shown) are made up of several pieces glued together to create the effect of wooden blocks sitting on top of each other.
In fact the board is completely flat. Each block has been carefully cut so that each joint fits together seamlessly.
The timbers used were Cedar, Pacific Maple and Pine.
They have been finished in oil which has brought out the deep colours of the timbers which are all end-grain.
